Eupora — Mrs. Frances Thompson Brooks, 85, died Dec. 25, 2010, at Desoto Health Care in Southaven. Born in Oktibbeha County, Mrs. Brooks was a Baptist.
Edwin R. (Babs) Jackson, 84, of Starkville, passed away at his residence on Dec. 25, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sturgis, and graduated from Sturgis High School.
John Ivy, 63 of Pascagoula, originally of Starkville passed away unexpectedly Dec. 22, 2010, at his residcence.
Arrangements are pending with Welch Funeral Home of Starkville, in charge.
LEXINGTON — Services for Wilma Parsons Caudillwill be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Southern Hills United Methodist Church.

Mississippi State football fans received an early Christmas present when two of college football's premier jobs were filled earlier this month and head coach Dan Mullen was still in Starkville.
Mississippi State men’s basketball players Renardo Sidney and Elgin Bailey have been suspended indefinitely and sent home from the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii for their part in a fight in the stand
Comfort Suites recently held a Santa’s Workshop event to make toys for animals at the shelters for the Oktibbeha and Lowndes County Humane Societies.
