We are always looking downward at the ground and grass as we walk or drive along in this thing called life. I challenge each one of you to look upward instead to the blue sky and the unexpected things that you might miss. I warmly and cordially invite you to drive, walk or jog by our home on 501 Louisville Street and casually just look up toward the blue sky.

The T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability at Mississippi State University is ready to run, walk, roll, stroll, skate or dance its way through a one-mile course with the help of the Starkville community when it hosts its first Fun Run at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.

August 2012 marked the second month on record where Starkville sales tax revenues crested $500,000, but 2 percent hotel tax revenues for the month were significantly lower than those in August 2011, according to the city of Starkville’s latest sales tax report.

PELAHATCHIE – The Starkville Academy Volunteers saw East Rankin Academy execute an 80-yard drive in the closing moment of Friday's game and the homestanding Patriots won a 34-29 decision in Class AAA-District 2 action.
CRAWFORD – The West Oktibbeha Timberwolves were able to take their win streak to six and remained undefeated in Class A, Region 3 with a 34-6 victory Friday night over cross-county rival East Oktibbeha.
