Webster's warriors: Brooks develops 'nose for football' for Wolverines

Thomas Brooks has made tackle after tackle after tackle for the East Webster Wolverines the last two years.
With a total of nearly 200 tackles during that span, Brooks has served notice that he's going to be around the football most of the time.

"I just try my best to get there first and be the one to get them," Brooks said.

The Starkville School District Board of Trustees unanimously hired Jody Jones Woodrum, a former Bulloch County, Ga. School administrator with 25 years of educational experience, as its newest assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction Tuesday. She starts her job immediately.

Country music act Eli Young Band was selected to replace Neon Trees as co-headliners of the Mississippi State University Student Association-sponsored Bulldog Bash on Nov. 2.

The two other headliners for Mississippi’s largest free outdoor concert are pop singer/songwriter Andy Grammar and country group Gloriana.
