The Starkville Board of Adjustments and Appeals rejected a variance for a Plantation Homes resident to build a carport closer to the property line than city law normally allows amid significant public presence at its meeting Wednesday.

Battle in the trenches: MSU looks to run football against Alabama defense

Mississippi State and Alabama meet this Saturday in Tuscaloosa in a game that has implications on the Southeastern Conference Western Division and the national championship picture.

For the No. 13 (Associated Press) Bulldogs (7-0, 3-0) to be successful establishing the ground game against the No. 1 Crimson Tide (7-0, 4-0) will be a big key.

Mullen, Russell help build MSU football

Webster's warriors: Brooks develops 'nose for football' for Wolverines

Thomas Brooks has made tackle after tackle after tackle for the East Webster Wolverines the last two years.
