After 12 years away from his hometown, Starkville native Quincy Hilliard returned this week. Hilliard was awarded Mississippi State University music departmentâ€™s 2013 alumnus of the year and was welcomed back to campus during the week.
Starkville High School has a history of producing a long line of talented senior classes on the football field.
One of the best groups will take the field for the last time in the regular season tonight when 20 senior Yellowjackets will be recognized for their contributions to the program.

Coach Rick Ray and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are looking to start off the 2013-14 basketball season on the right foot.
In Ray's first season last year, the Bulldogs lost to Troy 56-53 on the road to start the season.
The Bulldogs play at home to open this season and against a less inferior opponent.Â
It will be a homecoming for several members of the Mississippi State women's basketball team this weekend.
