MEMPHIS, Tenn. ­– There wasn’t much time for the Mississippi State Bulldogs to celebrate Christmas.
A day after one of the biggest holidays in the country, the Bulldogs arrived at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn., for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Jackets sting Patriots 63-52

Eliminating turnovers and playing solid defense helped the Starkville Yellowjackets defeat Parkview from Ark., 63-52.
“All of them understood how good that team was,” Starkville coach Greg Carter said. “They are a highly ranked team, but at the same time, if we go in and take care of all the details we need to, we knew we could win.”

Bulldogs comfortable at Hump, Aberdeen defeats Mt. Lebanon

It's not surprising that a group of Bulldogs are very comfortable playing at Humphrey Coliseum.
This is the third year that the Aberdeen Bulldogs have participated in the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump Christmas Tournament and they benefitted from that on Thursday.

French Camp follows Wright to state title

French Camp’s journey to the state title was nothing short of impressive.
After starting out 0-4, the team dug deep and rallied their way to an 11-5 season which ultimately ended with the Panthers hoisting the Class A State championship trophy.
Looking back, head coach Nathan Wright said he “wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Jones makes progress, a key for SHS success

The Starkville Yellowjackets had an opening at quarterback going into the 2013 spring practice.
