A capacity crowd filled the Colvard Student Union's Foster Ballroom Thursday to pay tribute to former Mississippi State University President Donald Zacharias, who died Sunday at age 77 of complications from multiple sclerosis.

A Starkville man has filed a lawsuit against Oktibbeha County and two sheriff’s deputies for allegedly using excessive force, among other things, when they arrested him last August.
