There were certainly some incentive for Mississippi State's Ben Bracewell, Chad Girado and Sam Frost to perform on Saturday.
The three Alabama natives all had a role in helping the Bulldogs win a 5-4 decision over the Alabama Crimson Tide in 10 innings on the way to sweeping a doubleheader. State won the first game 10-6.

East Webster reaches North State

All season long the East Webster Lady Wolverines have taken it one game at a time and the playoffs have been no different.
Despite losing game one of the quaterfinals on Thursday night, East Webster welcomed Hatley to its home field and after wining game two, the Lady Wolverines took game three 12-2 to advance to the Class 2A North Championship.

Local housing market stable

Board of Supervisors to discuss county lake lease

The Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors may consider leasing additional land at the Oktibbeha County Lake to John Barnett and former Mississippi State basketball coach Rick Stansbury at a meeting on Monday morning.

Volunteers help with camp

On Saturday, they were looking to provide someone for the next generation to look up to.
Branson and Rush were part of a group of volunteers helping coach Rodney Johnson of the Starkville Cowboys with the second spring football camp on Saturday at Westside Park.
