Bulldogs eye title: MSU, UCLA meet for national crown

OMAHA, Neb. – One series separates the Mississippi State Bulldogs and a NCAA baseball national championship.
After 69 games, it comes down to the next two or three.
The No. 7 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs take on the No. 6 UCLA Bruins today in the first game of the best-of-three College World Series national championship series at 7 p.m. at TD Ameritrade Park.

Offense propels Pirates to AA State championship

The Pontotoc Pirates generated the necessary offense to pull off a State championship on Sunday.
After out-slugging the Delta Tigers 14-13 in the semifinals of the AA classification, the Pirates knocked off the Booneville Blaze 8-4 in the championship game of the United States Speciality Sports Association 11-Under State Tournament.

Rebels romp Redbirds for State title in Class A

Everything was on the line in the Class A division as the Oxford Rebels and the Redbirds of Mathiston took the field on Sunday.
As the United States Specialty Sports Association 11-year old State championship tournament was coming to a close, the pair met for the final game in the A bracket. When action ended, the Rebels found themselves as the champions with a 17-2 victory.
