Ready to lead MSU: Russell enters fifth season as the Bulldog signal caller

HOOVER, Ala. – The success or lack thereof for a football team's quarterback can say a good bit about how an offense is going to do.
For the Mississippi State Bulldogs, they have one of the more veteran signal callers in the Southeastern Conference. 
Senior quarterback Tyler Russell is in his fifth year with the Bulldog program and will be in his second year as the main guy under center.

Mr. Freddie Estel Parker, Sr.. 65, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Maben.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Wood Springs Baptist Church in Choctaw County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Parker was a retired welder.

Bulldog Russell makes O'Brien watch list

HOOVER, Ala. – Mississippi State players have been thrust into the spotlight this preseason, and on Wednesday, one more Bulldog saw his name on an award watch list.
Bulldog senior quarterback Tyler Russell made the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award watch list, presented to the nation's top collegiate signal caller.

Spring practice gave junior defensive lineman Kaleb Eulls and sophomore linebacker Benardrick McKinney all the information they needed as far as Collins is concerned.

Hester to compete in state Distinguished Young Women 2014 program this week
