Aldermen to hear audit report

Starkville Board of Aldermen will hear the city's 2012 audit report during its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at City Hall and discuss how to deal with an audit finding related to a Parks Commission project.

Jones leaves SHS baseball for position at Pearl

It has been about two weeks since the first year of the coach Brian Jones era ended with the Starkville High School baseball team.
That era will only consist of one season.
On Monday night, Jones revealed that he has taken the same position with the Pearl High School Pirates.

Renfroe of Bulldogs gets Ferriss Trophy

Hunter Renfroe brought a great amount of talent with him when he came to Mississippi State.
In his junior season, the Crystal Springs native showcased it, as he helped lead the Bulldogs to their first 40-win regular season since 1997.

MSU seniors prove to be close group

This year's seven-member senior class of the Mississippi State baseball team are a close knit group.
Those Bulldog seniors are two solid catchers in Nick Ammirati and Mitch Slauter, pitchers Kendall Graveman, Luis Pollorena and Chad Girodo, first baseman and designated hitter Trey Porter and infielder Sam Frost.
All have contributed in some way to MSU's first 40-win regular season since 1997.
