The Starkville Board of Aldermen established a committee to review construction proposals for a parking lot related to the CottonMill project, held two public hearings on city street names and revising landscape ordinances and closed an investigation of police misconduct allegations during its meeting Tuesday at City Hall.

The wind was blowing in the face of Starkville Academy pitcher Hunter Bolin during his entire outing on Monday afternoon.
It didn't keep him from blowing pitches by the Presbyterian Christian School batters.
Bolin struck out 14 and only walked three as the Volunteers defeated the Bobcats 5-2 at home.
Losing to Oxford in the playoffs last year has left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Starkville High tennis players, but you won’t find the Yellowjackets sitting around moping.
Instead, the team has taken that defeat and turned it into motivation for the 2013 season.
