MSU, Ole Miss women set to meet in Oxford

Ole Miss point guard Valencia McFarland has been a thorn in the side of the Mississippi State Bulldogs for the last couple of seasons.
The Bulldogs meet McFarland and the Rebels once again in Oxford tonight.
Even though Ole Miss has yet to win a Southeastern Conference game in five tries, MSU coach Vic Schaefer said McFarland makes it a very dangerous opponent.

The Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors took another step in determining former county administrator Don Posey’s successor during a lengthy Tuesday afternoon meeting.

Board members were to each to name their top five individual choices. The board tallied the top five choices to narrow the group down to five finalists.

Police arrest man in assault

Starkville Police Department arrested a Starkville man on suspicion of aggravated domestic violence after a Monday morning altercation left one person injured.

Police arrested 26-year-old Timothy Youngblood following a reported altercation at an apartment at 1200 Louisville Street.
