MSU's Alwal obtains honor from the SEC

A career day against the arch rival was enough to catch the attention of the Southeastern Conference office.
After scoring 25 points and pulling down a career-high 23 rebounds in a 72-70 overtime victory against the Ole Miss Rebels Sunday, Mississippi State junior center Martha Alwal claimed SEC Player of the Week honors.
Alwal believed she had an opportunity for a big game against the Rebels.

Banged-up Bulldogs look to get back on court

Trivante Bloodman and I.J. Ready have been an essential part of the Mississippi State basketball team this season.
In the last 19 seconds of a 73-69 loss to Arkansas on Saturday, both point guards were on the bench.
The Bulldogs fumbled the basketball around and walk-on Tevin Moore got off a last second shot that didn't go, but it didn't matter in the four-point loss.

State baseball looks for victories against Mount St. Mary's

After starting the season as the No. 2 team in the nation by Collegiate Baseball, Mississippi State hast started just 4-4 out of the gate.
The Bulldogs fell to No. 18 this week after going 2-3 this past week. MSU suffered a midweek loss to Memphis in which it led in the top of the ninth inning.

Earl Richard Cooley graduated to his Heavenly home Saturday, February 22, 2014 just shy of his 96th Birthday.  The family is tremendously grateful for the loving and compassionate care he received in his final days at the Inpatient Hospice unit at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
