Robert Madison Farrar, Jr., 79, passed away on January 28, 2014 at his residence inÂ Starkville,MS.Â He was a Research Forester with the U.S. Forest Service. He received his B.S. Degree with honors fromÂ AuburnÂ University, his Masters fromÂ YaleÂ University, and his Doctorate from theÂ UniversityÂ ofÂ Georgia.Â Â He was an avid outdoorsman.
Success was on the side of the Starkville Academy Volunteers Friday night.
In what some might not have called the prettiest game, the Volunteers defeated Washington School 43-31.
âI just thought it was ugly,â Starkville Academy coach Mark Alexander said. âIt got to be an ugly game, a Helter Skelter game, and that sort of played a part in it.â
