Katie Michelle Ray, 31, passed away on November 24, 2014 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  She was an accountant, and a graduate of Mississippi State University.  She enjoyed jewelry making, photography, and was an avid MSU fan.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Chambers Ray.

Everett “AB” Quinn

Mr. Everett “AB” Quinn, 84,  died Saturday, November 22,  2014 in West Point, Mississippi.
Funeral services will  be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, West Point, Mississippi with Pastor Polee Webber, officiating.

Funeral services will  be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 28, 2014 at Peter’s Rock Church of God In Christ, Starkville, Mississippi with Superintendent Joseph Hawkins, officiating.

Dak back on track: MSU's Prescott has success during game with Vanderbilt

Dak Prescott was on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy a little over a month ago.
The Mississippi State quarterback was one of the favorites and was putting up some impressive numbers, then he had a rough stretch of five games between Auburn and Alabama. He threw eight interceptions in that span and the Bulldogs ended up losing to the Crimson Tide.

After filling up on turkey and dressing on Thursday, there will be a full feast of football to take you through the rest of the week.
It doesn't get much bigger on the high school level Friday than when the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in Mississippi meet in Starkville.
