The word “hot” could have definitely been used to describe the weather conditions at Starkville Academy on Friday night.
However, the Volunteers also had a hot performance against Lamar, downing the Class AAA champions 42-21 to start the season 1-0.

School reaches out to fire victims - Sudduth collecting donations for three families affected by recent home blazes

wo fires have devastated three Starkville School District Families and Sudduth Elementary is leading the charge in a relief effort.

One of the fires occurred at roughly 4 a.m. Aug. 13 in a mobile home on Lawson Road, off of Blackjack Road. The other occurred at 11:36 a.m. Aug. 14 in Brookville Garden Apartments and displaced two district families.

He was born October 17, 1919 in Cordova, TN to the late Odos Ryan and Pearl Bready Ryan.
