Hughbert Collier, 87, a retired welder, passed away Friday June 12, 2015 in Ackerman, MS. Mr. Collier was born April 13, 1928 in Choctaw County, MS. He was a member of the Ackerman Church of Christ and served in the U.S Navy during WWII.

Frances Anne Tolar, 64, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2015.
She was born on September 7, 1950 in Columbia, MS to the late Thomas Ray Tolar, Sr. and Frances Love Tillery Tolar. Anne graduated from Pensacola High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of West Florida and her Master’s Degree from Mississippi State University.

He was a member of the Starkville Church of Christ and was an Army Veteran of World War II, where he served in the New Guinea Campaign and received the Bronze Star. He attended Northwest Community College in Senatobia and the University of Mississippi in Oxford.
