Mr. Arthur Lee Wordlaw, Sr., 81, of Â Starkville, Mississippi died April 16, 2015 in Starkville, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Maben, Mississippi with Reverend Nelson Forrest, officiating.
Mrs. Nita Jean Simmons Randle, 83, longtime resident of Starkville, MS, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015, with family members by her side.
Visitation will be at the Starkville First Presbyterian church Friday, April 24, from 4-6 p.m. with services Saturday at Starkville Presbyterian Church beginning at 11 a.m. and a graveside service following at Oktibbeha Memorial Gardens.
Richard Buford Austin, 62, of Madison, Ala., died Monday after an illness. A proud son of Forest, Miss., Richard was a gifted athlete with a poetâ€™s soul and indomitable spirit whose boundless optimism and easy, friendly way left everyone feeling better whenever he was around. We will all miss him and his irresistible smile and laugh.
Clarice Bush, 85, passed away on April 17, 2015 at Regency Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was a life long resident of Starkville, MS and a retired homemaker.
Clarice was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert & Daisy Gregg; her husband Floyd Bush; and sisters Doris Chesser and Jessie McLean.
Sherre Hudspeth Denson, 60, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, in Austin, TX.
Sherre was born October 9, 1954 in Louisville, MS.Â In her early life, Sherre moved throughout Mississippi and Louisiana with fond memories of Pickens, Bay Springs and Lafayette, LA.Â in particular.Â She also often reminisced about her family visits to Sturgis and Louisville.
Mary Hellen Massey Delivorias, 72, passed away on April 12, 2015 at her residence in Starkville, MS.Â She was an honor graduate of Philadelphia High School and a former Miss Neshoba County, Miss Philadelpia and Miss Hospitality.Â She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi State College for Women.Â While at MSCW, she was a member of the MSCW modeling squad and historian
Jean Roberson Coleson, 82, a homemaker, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home near Mathiston, MS . Ms. Coleson was born October 19, 1932 in Eupora, MS. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville, MS
A celebration of life for Dot Murphy will be held onÂ Friday, April 10Â in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville, Rev. Donald Buckner officiating. Visitation will begin atÂ 12:00Â followed by services atÂ 2:00Â with burial at Craig Springs Cemetery.
Dot passed away on April 7, 2015 in Starkville. She was born March 28, 1929 to Dave and Bessie Seitz Wallace of Longview, MS.
Mrs. Louise Smith Robertson Ming, 89, of Starkville, MS, passed away at Windsor Place in Columbus on Sunday, April 5, 2015, which was a special day for a special lady.
Louise was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, the Eastern StarÂ and was a retired cashier at Western Auto.
