Ruth D. Peil, 88, devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.
Martha Anne Ferriss Parker, of Florence, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2013. She was born October 29, 1926 in Shaw, Mississippi to William Douglas and Lellie Meadow Ferriss. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. Martha Anne grew up in Shaw, Mississippi and graduated from Shaw High School, Class of 1944.
Jonathan Kensey Brown, 46, passed away on April 9, 2013 in Columbus, MS. He was a Helicopter Test Pilot for American Eurocopter and had been a pilot for 28 years. He was also a graduate of Embry Riddle, where he received his bachelor's degree in Aeronautics Safety and recently attended Pinelake Church in Starkville. Thad Everette Easterwood, coach and long time educator, of Starkville and Kosciusko passed away on April 3, 2013.
Willie Clark, Jr., 88, died Friday, March 29, 2013 in Starkville, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at West Memorial Chapel, Starkville, Mississippi with Reverend Larnzy Carpenter officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2013 from 1-6:00 p.m. at West Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Fox Cemetery, Starkville, Mississippi.

Mary Gray Gieger Stubbs passed away on March 29, 2013, at Gilda’s Place in Ridgeland. She was 97 years old.
She was a homemaker, teacher and business book keeper. Mary Gray was a member of First Methodist Church of Starkville.

Juanita Valentine Hamilton, 82, passed away on March 28, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a retired savings counselor with First Federal Savings & Loan and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of WMU.

Robert Antoine “RJ” Yates II died March 24, 2013 at Baptist Hospital for Women in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at West Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Larzny Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Sessums Community Cemetery.
John Wafer Edwards, Jr., 86, died March 25, 2013 at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Fancher and Rev. Hank Anderson will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.

Bessie LaDell Williams, 73, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
LaDell (Fillingame) Williams is survived by her husband, Hardy L. Williams, son, Michael Alan Williams Sr. of Gulfport; two daughters, Pamela Dell Lombardo of Pass Christian,, Sandra Lee Kelley of Bells, Texas; six grandchildren; and sister, Myrtis E. Lunceford of Vicksburg.
