HOOVER, Ala. – Mississippi State was not ready to play another extra-inning game.
Wes Rea took care of that in the top of the ninth.
Rea singled to right field with the bases loaded bringing home the go ahead run and the No. 18 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs outlasted the No. 15 South Carolina Gamecocks 5-3 Wednesday night in the Bulldog's 100th Southeastern Conference Tournament game.
HOOVER, Ala. - There was the feeling of "here we go again" during the first full game Wednesday of the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament.
After Mississippi State and Missouri played 17 innings to close the first round of the event on Tuesday night that lasted into Wednesday morning, the first scheduled game on Wednesday also went into extra innings.

It has been about two weeks since the first year of the coach Brian Jones era ended with the Starkville High School baseball team.
That era will only consist of one season.
On Monday night, Jones revealed that he has taken the same position with the Pearl High School Pirates.
John Cohen spent several years in Columbia, Mo. as a graduate assistant and an assistant coach.
Today the fifth-year Mississippi State head coach will be reunited with his former boss, this time in Hoover, Ala.
Hunter Renfroe brought a great amount of talent with him when he came to Mississippi State.
In his junior season, the Crystal Springs native showcased it, as he helped lead the Bulldogs to their first 40-win regular season since 1997.
