Bradford battles for the Bulldogs

Coming into this season, C.T. Bradford was trying to get his feet back under him and show he was completely healthy.
The junior is showing through the first 23 games that last year's injury is not holding him back this season.

Proffitt adjusts well to Lady Vols

Coming into unfamiliar territory is never easy, but one Starkville Academy Lady Volunteer did it with grace and ease.
Early in 2012, Maggie Proffitt approached coach Glenn Schmidt about playing for the Lady Vols. Knowing that bringing a new player into a team that had just won a state championship would be no easy task, Schmidt sought out her two seniors for their thoughts.

SHS drops pair of games in Tupelo

TUPELO – The Starkville Yellowjackets lost a pair of baseball games to wrap up spring break action on the road.
Starkville lost a 5-2 decision to Oxford and were shut out 11-0 by the host school Tupelo in five innings.

Tigers win first two games of series against Bulldogs

It wasn't the start Mississippi State head coach John Cohen envisioned in the Southeastern Conference.
The No. 8 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs dropped a 7-3 decision to the No. 3 LSU Tigers Saturday night to fall to 0-2 in SEC play.

LSU slugger belts homers to power his team to victory

Two pitches were the difference in the ballgame.
Mason Katz hit a pair of two-run home runs to lift No. 3 (Collegiate Baseball) LSU past No. 8 Mississippi State 6-4 in 10 innings at Dudy Noble Field in both teams Southeastern Conference opener.

Missed opportunities doom MSU

Friday night was a story of missed opportunities for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
