CRAWFORD – The West Oktibbeha Timberwolves were able to take their win streak to six and remained undefeated in Class A, Region 3 with a 34-6 victory Friday night over cross-county rival East Oktibbeha.

CRAWFORD – Many fans who watch the West Oktibbeha football team, might say the offense is fun to watch.

The defense isn't too bad itself.

West Oktibbeha fought its way to a 34-8 win over rival East Oktibbeha Friday night, led by the defense.
"I was pleased with the boys effort," West Oktibbeha head coach Adam Lowrey said. "It was a lot of fun to watch it."

Liggins scores twice in East Webster win

HAMILTON – Deangelo Liggins scored two touchdowns and the East Webster Wolverines rolled to a 24-0 win over Hamilton Friday night.

Liggins found McKinley Hollenhead for a 32-yard passing score. He caught a 27-yard strike from Jack Wilson.

Liggins finished the night with 44 yards rushing. He also completed 4-of-6 passes for 60 yards.

The Starkville Yellowjackets have played more away games than home outings to this point of this season.

That's why the Jackets want to savor each time they enter the home stadium for competition and get to do that tonight against the Yazoo City Indians. The homecoming game begins at 7 p.m.

The Volunteers (5-4, 2-2) travel to Pelahatchie to take on the East Rankin Academy Patriots (5-4, 2-2) for the Class AAA, Division II championship.

Not only will SHS head coach Jamie Mitchell serve as offensive coordinator for the squad, but he is taking quarterback Gabe Myles and defensive lineman Juwon Johnson with him.

East Rankin Academy sports potent attack
