MABEN â€“ Deangelo Liggins rushed for 68 yards on 10 carries and scored two touchdowns as the East Webster Wolverines got back on the winning track with a 35-0 victory against Walnut at home Friday night.
With the victory, the Wolverines improved their record to 4-1 this season.
Liggins had touchdown runs of 1 and 14 yards, while also tossing a 42-yard scoring pass to Tyler Doss.
MABEN â€“ Tiberias Lampkin was ready to carry the West Oktibbeha football team this week.
When it came game time, Lampkin delivered.
He scored six touchdowns and the Timberwolves beat Nanih Waiya 52-21 Friday night at L.M. Hamberlin Field.

Starkville High School quarterback Gabe Myles was able to play well against West Point on a bad ankle.
The Yellowjackets are hoping that with this week's open date, Myles will be close to 100 percent for the first Class 5A, Region 2 game at Lanier on Sept. 21.
The Eupora High School football team looks to stay unbeaten when they play host to Calhoun City tonight.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Wafford Field.
The Wildcats (2-2) beat the Eagles last season 20-6. Calhoun City is coming off a 36-21 win at Velma Jackson last week.
The surroundings will be familiar for the Starkville High School cross country team on Saturday.
In their second run of the season, the Yellowjackets and Lady Jackets hit the path at the Mississippi Horse Park for home action.
SHS cross country coach Caroline Woomer was proud of how the team performed in the first race of the season and looks forward to hosting a home event.
