Mrs. Judith Kent Guess, 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Freddie Rasberry.
Judy wanted her ashes spread on All Saints Day in the Miss. River at New Orleans, La. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.
Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home.
Mrs. Grace D. Burkes, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Rocky Point Baptist Church with Bro. Shane McGivney officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Wilcox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burkes, a native of Leake County, was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carolyn Ward Tyner, 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at her home in Madison.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at The Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison.
Burial will follow at the Chapel of the Cross cemetery.
Mrs. Dorothy B. Vizzier, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, Fayetteville, Ark. after a long battle with Alzheimerâ€™s disease.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 5, 2012 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale, Ark.
Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark. is in charge of arrangements.

Along with 12 other members, the Craftsmenâ€™s Guild of Mississippi welcomed local artist and craftsman Dylan Karges into its prestigious organization after an August jury process.
Karges said he thought about joining the guild for years and worked with the organization to bring a collection to Mississippi State University for an exhibit.

Rusty Coats has taught at Millsaps for 20 years, and for most of those years, Millsaps students have had a place at the National Future Farmers of America Organization Convention and Expo.
Mississippi State took the football field against the Trojans of Troy, Ala. and when the game was over, the Bulldogs left the field with a six-point win and a game film that would provide the teachable lessons coach Dan Mullen was looking for.
The Georgia Bulldogs went on the attack against Mississippi State in Southeastern Conference volleyball on Sunday.
There wasn't much the homestanding Bulldogs could do about it at Newell-Grissom Building as Georgia won a 3-1 decision.
Georgia was the aggressor by making good on a .303 hitting percentage, while Mississippi State's percentage dipped to .190 by the end of the match.
