The Starkville Historic Preservation Commission will review a new draft of all the preservation guidelines it has reviewed over the past several months at its meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall’s building department.

County clinic to offer newly required shot

The Oktibbeha County Health Department at 203 Yeates St. will host an immunization clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to provide children and adolescents with the immunizations they need to enter school, including the Tdap vaccination now required for all children entering seventh grade.

Mr. John Wesley Ray of Savannah, Tenn.,85, died Monday, July 23, 2012 in his home today.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Ga. with Rev. Don Pickerill officiating.
Special music will be presented by Patsy Daniel, accompanied by Connie Lake.

Born July 18, Amelia Nell Wiseman will eventually grow into a student with homework to study, careers to consider and problems to solve, and when she does, Parker Wiseman will be ready. She is the Wisemans’ first-born, but the mayor already has experience mentoring a child.
