Bulldogs host Toreros for three-game series

This will be the first weekend where Mississippi State will only play three games.
That means head coach John Cohen has to cut down his rotation to three pitchers. With one week before Southeastern Conference play starts, Cohen will start a junior and two sophomores.
The No. 8 Bulldogs (13-1) welcome San Diego (4-6) to Dudy Noble Field this weekend.

Lady Wolverines seek to extend their season at Class 2A state event

It is no secret that teams want to end its season hoisting a trophy. 
The East Webster Lady Wolverines are no different and today they will take a huge step toward that end result as they face off against Heidelberg in the Class 2A State quarterfinals.

The Starkville Lady Yellowjackets have enjoyed an outstanding season to this point.
They have a 24-4 overall record, swept all games in Class 6A, Region 3 and the region tournament, and look forward to Saturday night's meeting against Hattiesburg in the state tournament at Mississippi Coliseum.

For Matt Wells and several other Mississippi State Bulldogs, Wednesday was a big day.
Mississippi State held its Pro Day with 20 athletes going through drills and all 32 National Football League teams were represented. The day featured 17 Bulldogs from last year's squad and three Bulldogs from the 2013 team.

Bulldogs pick up midweek softball win over Owls

Mississippi State softball coach Vann Stuedeman and leadoff hitter Katie Anne Bailey were not going to hesitate in the fifth inning.
With the score tied at 2-2 against Kennesaw State on Wednesday afternoon, the Bulldogs had a valuable run to pick up at second base in the form of Bailey.

A record Mississippi State basketball season has not gone unnoticed.
The Bulldogs have won a school record 26 games overall this season, 11 in the Southeastern Conference and are the No. 3 seed in this week's SEC Tournament. MSU is ranked No. 11 by The Associated Press and No. 13 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll.

The Bulldogs will have to knock off the Commodores again to end a four-game losing streak.
MSU beat Vanderbilt 57-54 in Humphrey Coliseum on Jan. 17 in the first matchup.
