IT'S REALITY: Bulldogs surprise Seminoles

Mississippi State has seen the seesaw sway back and forth with its non-conference schedule this season.
The Bulldogs started play 5-0, but lost six of seven games after the best start under third-year head coach Rick Ray. They were coming off a 19-point loss to McNeese State at home on Tuesday night.
MSU wasn't the same team on Friday night.

Black contributes in post for Bulldogs as freshman

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have gotten contributions from several newcomers so far this basketball season.
One of those has been freshman post player Oliver Black.
Black had his best game of the season for the Bulldogs in Tuesday's loss to McNeese State. He came off the bench to score a career-high nine points, pulled down four rebounds and had two steals in 26 minutes.
