Harris sets digs record as Bulldogs win match

Digs were the story of Saturday for Mississippi State volleyball. 
As just a freshman Payton Harris posted 59 digs against the Northwestern State Lady Demons to set a new MSU and Southeastern Conference record, while falling just three shy of tying the NCAA record of 62.

Volunteers roll to road victory

JACKSON – The Starkville Academy Volunteers had no problems picking up their fourth victory of the season Friday night as they defeated Hillcrest Christian 51-3.
It didn't take long for the Vols to take control of the game. With only six offensive plays in the book, Starkville Academy had built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Bradley, Chargers outscore Jackets

ACKERMAN – Jamarcus Bradley had just one number in mind. 
That was 400. The Choctaw County quarterback's career high in total offense in a single game was 375 entering Friday night's matchup against Union. He wanted to cross the 400-yard threshold.
He did that and more.

Townsend, Hilltoppers beat Wolverines 26-7

MABEN - Brandon Townsend single handedly was the difference maker on Friday night with four touchdowns.
Unfortunately for East Webster, Townsend's Hilltoppers and Houston was the squad leaving Webster County with a 26-7 victory.
"Give a lot of credit to them," Wolverines coach Doug Wilson said. "They played hard and that running back is all they said he was. They got the big runs all night."

Eupora improves to 4-0

EUPORA – The Eupora Eagles knocked off their fourth opponent of the season to remain unbeaten with a 42-16 victory over Ethel.
Quarterback Trey Pittman got things going for Eupora with a 32-yard touchdown pass to Tarvis Robinson, giving the Eagles an early 7-0 advantage.

Timberwolves encouraged even with loss to Bobcats

Titans lose game at home

CRAWFORD – The Nanih Waiya Warriors scorched the East Oktibbeha County Titans in its first Class A, Region 3 game of the season Friday night 49-0.
After the loss at home, the Titans fell to 0-3 the season.
