Situation building at state's schools

When people talk college football they think about the Southeastern Conference and more notably the state of Alabama.
Since 2006, the SEC has won seven-straight Bowl Championship Series National Championship games. The state of Alabama has the last four. 
The Crimson Tide of Alabama won in 2009, followed by Auburn's title in 2010. The Crimson Tide have won the last two.

Tournament celebrating life of Hill successful

COLUMBUS – Playing for a cause was the theme of a golf tournament Saturday at Elm Lake.
Around five years ago, Lyndsi Hill tragically lost her life in a car wreck. It did not take long for her former fellow employees at Mugshots to begin celebrating Hill’s life.

The Mississippi State baseball program lost a tremendous friend and supporter last week with the death of Don Permenter.
Permenter has a special love and a passion for the Bulldogs, and that was usually sent right back in his direction. He was a good man.

MSU's Eulls works on cars, uses one for SEC Media Days

Before Kaleb Eulls stepped on the Mississippi State campus, he had already made headlines.
The junior defensive lineman became a hero on a school bus while in high school. Eulls, who played high school football at Yazoo County High School, tackled a girl who pulled out a gun on a school bus.
Eulls' story became national news, as he saved several kids on the school bus from the girl. 

Longhorns lose at World Series

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The stay for the Longhorns Baseball team at the United States Sports Specialty 10-year-old World Series ended on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Mississippi Force.

The Mississippi State senior quarterback was recognized again on Friday. This time by the Walter Camp Foundation.
Russell was selected to the Walter Camp Award watch list, given annually to the nation's most outstanding college football player.
