Tough for openers: MSU starts season against talented Oklahoma State

In his first four seasons, Dan Mullen's opener has been what some might call "a walk in the park" as the football coach at Mississippi State.
The Bulldogs have played Jackson State twice at home, Memphis at home and the Tigers again, this time on the road.

Braves hurting without a pair of SEC hurlers

The Atlanta Braves appeared to be in good shape to make a serious run at the National League pennant and a spot in the World Series with two former Southeastern Conference pitchers anchoring their staff.
That notion has taken a big hit over the last week as both Paul Maholm, who pitched at Mississippi State from 2001-03, and Tim Hudson, a product of Auburn, both went down with injuries.

Bulldogs look to handle adversity better in 2013 football season

The 2012 season didn't end the way it started for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. 
The Bulldogs started last year with a 7-0 record, but struggled down the stretch.
Coach Dan Mullen's team lost five of their last six games to finish the season at 8-5.

Former Ole Miss women's basketball player Alliesha Easley has the desire to encourage girls and help them develop skills in the game she loves.
One of the ways Easley has chosen to do this is with a camp.
Easley will host a camp Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Starkville Sportsplex for girls ages 7-16.

Competition is over and the Starkville Americans All-Stars have returned home.
After claiming the 8-year-old Dizzy Dean South State Championship a couple weeks back, the team has spent the last few days in Southaven as participants in the World Series.
