Confident Frazier puts up good number for Bulldogs

As a sophomore, Adam Frazier put his name on the map for Mississippi State.
In his junior season, the shortstop is picking up right where he left off in all facets of the game.
The Bishop, Ga. native led MSU with .371 batting average last season, on his way to becoming one of the mainstays in the lineup.
"You always want to be confident and want to do your best," Frazier said.

MSU's Renfroe hopes to keep hot bat going

Mississippi State junior outfielder Hunter Renfroe was putting pressure on himself to perform last week at the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
While sitting in his Hoover, Ala., hotel room, Renfroe was saying to himself, "I've got to get hits."
That's when teammate Wes Rea stepped up and told Renfroe to "calm down and relax."

MATHISTON – Blue Mountain College is looking to build its baseball program and coach Curt Fowler can't think of any better way to do it than with an athlete like East Webster's Cody McKee.
McKee, who signed with the Hilltoppers on Wednesday afternoon, combined an excellent skill as a catcher along with a high academic standard for the Wolverines, which was something that impressed Fowler.

Being the new person is not easy, but Bailie Springfield took it all in stride as she assumed her role as pitcher for the East Webster Lady Wolverines.
In fact, the freshman remained cool as a cucumber all season long right up until the end when she stood alongside her teammates to accept the Class 2A State championship medals.

The Mississippi State baseball program is full of history, but on Tuesday the 2013 edition made its own history.
A school-record six Bulldogs received postseason Southeastern Conference honors. The list was compiled in a vote by the league's coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own athletes.
"We are really proud of our guys," MSU head coach John Cohen said.

Britt takes over the Volunteers

The Volunteers have already competed for a State championship two years ago and made another deep run in the postseason this year.
