The Bulldogs strolled into Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday afternoon as the No. 1 team in the nation and undefeated.
Alabama took care of that.

Robinson makes 1,000-yard mark for the Bulldogs

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Josh Robinson entered elite company on Saturday afternoon.
The Mississippi State junior running back rushed for 37 yards in a 25-20 loss to Alabama, which gave him enough to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. He has 1,021 rushing yards this season, which is just three behind tying LaDarius Perkins for 10th all-time in a Bulldog season.
Perkins rushed for 1,024 yards in 2012.

The East Webster Wolverines have developed a "road warrior" type of mentality.
After defeating Eupora 27-7 on the road to close the regular season and clinch the No. 2 seed out of Class 2A, Region 4, the Wolverines were able to get one of their most impressive wins of the season at Baldwyn Friday night 34-7.

“All year we had talked about trying to get to the championship,” said junior Colt Chrestman. “We were reminded of that again this week in practice about accomplishing our goal and getting to where we wanted to be at the start of the season.”

Wilson's big night pushes East Webster to victory

BALDWYN – Jack Wilson threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns as the East Webster Wolverines went on the road and defeated the Baldwyn Bearcats 34-7 Friday night.
With the victory, the Wolverines improved their record to 10-2 and will hit the road again next week for a game against Simmons, which defeated Eupora 38-31.

Choctaw County falls to West Marion 40-21

ACKERMAN – Football season came to a conclusion Friday evening for Choctaw County.
After a strong run that saw the Chargers finish in first place in Class 3A, Region 5, a second round game against West Marion ended in a 40-21 loss.
Choctaw County was the first to strike claiming an early 7-0 advantage with just over 9 minutes remaining in the first quarter.
