MSU's Ellis to be recognized during NSSA Awards event

Mississippi State radio broadcaster Jim Ellis will be honored this weekend as Mississippi Broadcaster of the Year for the fourth time.
Ellis was singled out for his efforts with Bulldog men's basketball and football broadcasts.

MSU basketball gets boost with hiring of Deets

Both Mississippi State basketball teams got a boost on Tuesday.
It was announced that David Deets was hired as the new Director of Basketball Performance for both the men's and women's teams.
He takes over for Richard Akins, who retired in May after 33 years with the Bulldogs.

The Mississippi State quarterback is coming off a record-setting junior campaign that saw the Bulldogs rise to No. 1 in the country for five weeks. He finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting after being in the discussion for most of the season.
