Dak Prescott enters his final spring practices with the Bulldogs as the full-fledged starter, and nobody who watched last season will argue with that.

The Bulldogs went 2-2, but took their first Southeastern Conference series of the season by beating South Carolina two games to one. The other loss came to South Alabama in a road midweek contest.

SHS, Newton County get onto MSU courts briefly before the rain

It may have only been for about an hour, but the high school tennis teams from Starkville and Newton County got to experience the game on a college stage.
The Yellowjackets hosted the Cougars on Monday. The match didn't take place on the courts on the SHS campus. It happened at the Pitts Tennis Centre on the campus of Mississippi State University.

Looking for good men: Turner has some options to fill holes on MSU's defensive line

Mississippi State started three seniors on the defensive line a season ago.
Preston Smith, Kaleb Eulls and P.J. Jones were the nucleus of the Bulldog line during the 2014 season. Smith led the way at one of the defensive end positions with 48 total tackles. Eulls and Smith both played defensive tackle and had 34 and 31 total tackles respectively.

Bulldogs seek confidence with golf event at Old Waverly

The Mississippi State men's golf team is less than two week away from competing at the Southeastern Conference Championships.
Coach Clay Homan is looking to instill some confidence in his Bulldogs and can't think of a better way to do it than play an event close to home.
The Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point provides that opportunity.

Jackets keep tradition going with trip to Mobile meet

Back when collegiate All-American Tavaris Tate was wearing a Starkville High jersey, the Yellowjackets starting taking trips down to Mobile for the Challenge of Champions track meet.
They continued that tradition over the weekend.

To his players, the Starkville High Yellowjackets boys basketball coach is sometimes called a “father figure,” sometimes a motivator and sometimes just that “calm” presence that holds everything together.
Taking all of those elements into consideration and it is no surprise the coach led his team to the Class 6A State championship.
