Starkville Academy sees some good time on court

Tennis season is beginning the downhill stretch for the Starkville Academy Volunteers.
As the regular season winds down, coach Lynn Moorehead is anticipating getting in some good court time for her athletes.
“I am looking forward to getting more experience for my players,” Moorehead said. “This gets them in a competitive situation so they get their minds ready for district.”

French Camp finishes region with an unbeaten 6-0 record

French Camp coach Nathan Wright saw how playing a tough non-region schedule helped his football team last fall. He thought the same plan might benefit the baseball team.

An RBI-single by C.T. Bradford lifted the Mississippi State baseball team to a 3-2, 11-inning victory over Missouri in the opening game of a three-game Southeastern Conference series at Taylor Stadium.

MSU softball defeats No. 4 Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – With no hits through the first six innings, Mississippi State broke through with four hits and two runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 2-0 victory at No. 4 Tennessee on Friday night inside Lee Stadium.
Senior Sam Lenahan hit a one-out two-run home run off the scoreboard in left center to give Vann Stuedeman her 100th victory as the Bulldogs’ head coach.
