Ackerman loses eighth straight

ACKERMAN – West Lowndes kept itself in a tie for the Class 2A, Region 2 lead with a 24-7 win over Ackerman.
The Panthers held a 6-0 advantage at halftime, and stretched that lead to 18-7 by the end of the third.
West Lowndes added another score in the fourth quarter to cement the win.
Ackerman (1-8, 0-3 in Region 2) was led in rushing by K.J. Woods.
The junior running back ran for 117 yards on 23 carries.
Sophomore quarterback Dakota Brasher accounted for the Indians lone score with a rushing touchdown.
The Indians have now lost eight in a row.
Ackerman travels to Hamilton next week.
West Lowndes (6-2, 3-0 in Region 2) will host Eupora.
