BREAKING: MSU game to be broadcast locally

MetroCast Communications and CBS College Sports Network on Friday announced that they have reached an agreement to broadcast Saturday's Mississippi State-Houston football game in the greater Starkville area.
The game will be broadcast at 7 p.m. today on MetroCast channel 16 in Starkville, Maben, Mathiston and on the MSU campus, as well as in several surrounding counties in northeast Mississippi.
The broadcast will be a special preview of the pending launch of CBS College Sports Network on MetroCast Digital Basic channel 165, which was the main thrust of the agreement announced Friday between the network and Metrocast.
After tonight's game broadcast, channel 16 will return to its regulary scheduled programming, and the CBS College Sports Network will begin broadcasting permanently on the MetroCast lineup on Nov. 13.
“We are very close to the communities we serve and know that there is tremendous interest in college sports, said Rick Ferrall, regional manager of MetroCast’s Southern Region.
“That is why we are so pleased to add CBS College Sports Network, because it will respond to the needs of our customers and add great value to the service we provide.”
CBS College Sports Network offers complete college football coverage for the 2010 season, including live game action, and a variety of studio shows and original programming.
In all, the network covers over 25 men’s and women’s sports with more than 250 live games every year.
