Harveys will host its third annual Oktibbeha County Celebrity Wait Night event, featuring local celebrities and a silent auction on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

General Manager Katherine Jackson said the restaurant raised over $6,000 for OCHS in 2015 and over $10,000 in 2016.

"After 4 p.m., all tips go to the Humane Society," Jackson said.

Some celebrities include Mayor Lynn Spruill, Chef Junior contestant Mark Coblentz, Starkville High School Principal Sean McDonald and other well-known names from the Starkville area.

The silent auction will feature a 23-piece set of miniature MSU football helmets, a basketball signed by Coach Ben Howland, a baseball signed by the 2013 MSU Bulldogs Baseball team and coaches, along with other items and gift certificates donated by local businesses.

"Clark Beverage Company helps to sponsor, giving us a large donation to pay for the T-shirts, and Mayhew Junction also comes out and donates," Jackson said. "We'll be selling draft Mayhew beer and all of the proceeds from that beer will go to the Humane Society."

Jackson said Harveys hopes to meet or surpass last year's $10,000 donation to OCHS.
