Christmas parade applications now available at GSDP

The possibilities are endless for a parade float with the theme, “It’s A Magical Christmas.”
Parade organizers are encouraging local businesses and organizations to showcase their creativity, hometown pride and Christmas spirit by participating in the 2010 Starkville Christmas Parade.
Each entrant must complete a Parade Application and complete description of entry by e-mailing to christmasparade@starkville.org by 5 p.m. November 19.
All entries must accompany the $25 entry fee application for floats before being included in the official parade line-up.
“It’s A Magical Christmas” parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, December 4 in downtown Starkville. In the event of rain, the parade will be held December 6.
Floats and entries should be decorated accordingly for the theme, “ It’s a Magical Christmas”
Entries will be judged in the following categories: Best Use of Theme for Walking Unit, Best Use of Theme for Float, Best Use of Lights, Best Faith-Based Entry, Best Business/Commercial Entry, Best Non-Profit/Civic Entry, Best School-Aged Entry, Most Original and Best Overall.
