Claude Hedden Hudson Jr.

BROOKSVILLE — Visitation for Claude Hedden Hudson Jr. will be today at 2 p.m. until religious services at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home located at 11000 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge, La. A graveside service will be held at Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville.
Mr. Hudson, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Memphis, Tenn., died Wednesday August 4, 2010 in Pensacola, Fla.
He was 83. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, and he retired from General Electric with 46 years service. There, he received several outstanding G.E. and IEEE awards. 
Survivors include his wife Pauline Hudson; daughter Claudia Hudson and husband Karl Manzer; four sons, John H. Hudson, David (Kathy) Hudson, Edward (Rachel) Hudson, Robert (Mary) Hudson,  step-children, Philip (Mary Helen) Delivorias, Judi (Jim) Beck; grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Hudson-Sorrell, and Grant Hudson, Taylor and Karley Hudson, Joey and Jenny Hudson; brother-in-law, James B. Brandt, step-grandchildren, Bradley (Amy) Delivorias, Tyler (Joelle) Thornhill, Barrett (Jenny) Thornhill and step great-grandsons, Philip Delivorias and Barron Delivorias.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Hudson Sr. and Sara Feild Hudson, his first wife, Lois Caroline Brandt Hudson and grandson Joshua Lee Hodges.  Pallbearers will be Grant Hudson, Taylor Hudson, Joey Hudson, Zachary Hudson Sorrell, Bradley Delivorias and Barrett Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children 912 11th Ave South, Columbus MS 39701, the Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
