East Oktibbeha drops decision on the road

August 21, 2010

KILMICHAEL – East Oktibbeha came up just short on the road Friday night, falling to Montgomery County 20-8.
The Titans trailed 14-0 at the end of three quarters before Marlon Fair connected with Chris Hunter for a 1-yard touchdown pass. East Oktibbeha's 2-point conversion made the score 14-8.
Later in the fourth, the Titans notched what would have been a game-tying score, only to have the play called back due to a clipping penalty.
Chris Hunter led East Oktibbeha on the ground, rushing 13 times for 65 yards. Marlon Fair had 49 yards on 10 carries.
Devensively, Monte Horsely recorded 11 tackles and three sacks. Terrance Rice had nine tackles.
Juwan Roberts and Arthur Gillispie both had interceptions for the Titans.
The game featured Randy Brooks' return to the Titans' head coaching ranks. Brooks previously served as head coach when East Oktibbeha was known as B.L. Moor.
Brooks and the Titans open the home portion of their schedule next Friday night when they welcome West Lowndes to Crawford.
West Oktibbeha defeated West Lowndes 31-14 on Friday.
