Go Kart races set Saturday

The Mississippi Horse Park is set to host the Starkville Indoor Shootout Kart Race on Saturday.
More than 300 Go Karts will race into town to participate in this exciting event presented by Starkville Ford-Lincoln-Mercury.
Although this is a first time event the response has been tremendous, said Horse Park Manager Bricklee Miller earlier this week.
The contestants will arrive on Friday and have practice races that night.
Qualifying races will go on all day Saturday with the finals beginning at 6 p.m.
Admission is just $5 for adults and kids 12 and under get in free. Tickets will be sold at the gate on Saturday night.
Multiple racing classes will be represented from rookies to professionals with added money to each class. Large checks will be awarded to winners of all classes along with medallions for second and third place finishers.
There will also be lawn mower races during the breaks for entertainment.
“The action packed Starkville Indoor Shootout Kart Race has something for everyone so bring the whole family out for a night of racing fun,” Miller said.
