MAN arrested in Sunday morning gunshot incident

One man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with aggravated assault, following a shooting incident at Brooksville Gardens.
Sergeant Chadd Garnett of the Starkville Police Department said Demetric Bridges, 28, of 943 Miss. Highway 61 S., Natchez, was arrested Sunday following an investigation and based on his confession to a shooting following “some type of domestic incident” at 11 C Brooksville Gardens.
Bridges is being held at the Clay County Jail waiting bond today.
The arrest followed a 6:23 a.m. call from OCH Regional Medical Center stating a shooting victim had been admitted into the emergency room.
The victim received a gunshot wound in the torso part of the body. The victim is in serious condition and remains at OCH Regional Medical Center.
