MISSISSIPPI STATE — In Conjunction with MSU's Second-Year Reading Experience of "Three Cups of Tea", the Maroon Volunteer Center has partnered with the Starkville Area Habitat for Humanity to paint (and BUILD!) the second ever Maroon Edition Habitat for Humanity house. The house is to be built at 265 Greenwood Street in Starkville, next door to the first Maroon Edition Habitat House. This will be the new home of the Katie Marie Gray family.
The MSU-Habitat kickoff event will begin on August 10,2010. This is a special build day for the MSU family with the participation of Dr. Keenum and special guest from the community. Building is scheduled for August 12-14,16-17. All interested volunteers can sign up at http://mvc.msstate.edu/volunteer/ . Freshmen participating in Service DAWGS Day will contribute their efforts on August 17, 2010, and upperclassmen along with the rest of the MSU family will continue to support the efforts until the house is completed.
