MSU Association of Retired Faculty works on Habitat home

Recently five members of the Association of Retired Faculty from Mississippi State University joined other volunteers to assist in completing the roof trusses erection and “wrapping” the outside walls of the second MSU Maroon Habitat for Humanity home. The ARF volunteers plan to work on installing the plastic slats covering the outside walls. Water and doughnuts will be furnished. ARF members are encouraged come and work. Habitat for Humanities builds houses for disadvantaged families. Practically all the labor is from volunteers and some materials used are donated. The house is being built in the Sunset Subdivision at 265 Greenwood Street. The project is part of the Maroon Edition First-Year Reading/Community Volunteer Program.
