Visitation for Odie Fred Wallace Sr. is scheduled for Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.Â A private family graveside service will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
On Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, Mr. Wallace went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Â
He was a great father and a loving and great husband to his wife of 55 years.Â He was born Aug. 10, 1932 to Odie V. Wallace and Audie Bell Cates Wallace.Â He was retired from Lockport Felt Company of 21 years, the Mississippi National Guard Service of 29 years and VanLandingham Lumber Company of 18 years. He served as the manager of the Longview Water Association for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother, Bradley Wallace and sister-in-law, Sue Wallace.Â
Survivors include his wife, Lou Sagely Wallace and sons, Odie Fred (Jeanette) Wallace II of Harlingen, Texas and Bradley K. (Katrena) Wallace of Hernando; four grandchildren, Trey Wallace, Ashley Wallace, Allison Wallace and Samuel Wallace; one great-grandchild, Isabella Wallace; brother, James (Mary Jo) Wallace of Starkville; three sisters, Frances Gastinel of Columbus, Dorothy (Charles) Hall of Starkville and Betty (Ed) Pharr of Bella Vista, Ark.
