One injured and power out Friday due to accident

October 30, 2010

A late afternoon incident on Blackjack Road, near the entrance to Campus Trails Apartments, sent the driver to OCH Regional. The westbound vehicle left the road, hit a utility pole and breaking it, and then flipped upside down. East Oktibbeha County Firefighters responded and removed the driver. Power was out in the area for several hours as 4-County electric removed the debris and installed a new pole and lines. TV cable lines were also severed in this incident. Oktibbeha County SO is handling the investigation of the incident.
