GREENWOOD –– The funeral for Rosie Lee White will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Strangers’ Home MB Church with burial in L.C.M.C. Memorial Gardens on Mississippi Highway 17 South. Dr. David Matthews will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Century Funeral Home.
Mrs. White, 84, died of heart failure on Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Iverness.
She was a dedicated employee with the City Laundry for over 15 years and worked for Greenwood Leflore Hospital for over 22 years.
She was born in Leflore County and later moved to Greenwood where she joined Stranger’s Home Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli White.
Survivors include her son, John Moore Sr. of Starkville; daughters, Mary Blake of Greenwood and Rosizener Cation of Greenwood; sister, Inez Tarden of Greenwood, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
