SUV veers into ravine

East Oktibbeha County volunteer firefighters were dispatched to the northeast corner of the U.S. 82-Highway 12 interchange at 7:34 a.m. Monday where an SUV left the road and traveled approximately 300 feet down a hill into a ravine, fire officials said. The driver was removed by fire firefighters and transported to OCH Regional Medical Center for examination. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
